Eric J. Smalls Memorial Scholarship

The Eric J. Smalls Memorial Scholarship was established by United Elite Basketball, a nonprofit youth basketball organization in memory of Eric’s participation as a player on the 3rd grade traveling basketball team. Eric Smalls was an energetic, vibrant young man with a great love for basketball. He lost his life on June 5, 2015 due to injuries sustained in a tragic car accident along with two of his little friends.

The scholarship is $1,000.00 to a deserving senior who plays and has a passion for basketball.

The 4th Annual Eric J. Smalls Memorial Scholarship Banquet: June 6, 2019

Each year, we invite the top scholarship applicants to attend the banquet, and announce the winner of the $1,000 scholarship.

For the past three years, there have been well-known guest speakers from the community and awesome musical and dance performances.

We are excited about our guest speaker for this year, and we hope you will attend.

Tickets are $25 each. All proceeds from banquet ticket sales go towards the Eric J. Smalls Memorial Scholarship.

Boys age groups: 12th Grade, 11th Grade, 10th Grade, 9th Grade, 8th Grade, 7th Grade, 6th Grade, 5th Grade, 4th Grade, 3rd Grade, 2nd Grade
Girls age groups: 12th Grade, 11th Grade, 10th Grade, 9th Grade, 8th Grade, 7th Grade, 6th Grade
